About Amsterdam University College

Amsterdam University College (AUC) offers a Liberal Arts and Sciences programme, leading to a joint Bachelor (Honours) degree from the University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. All students live and study together on an international campus located in Amsterdam Science Park.

The programme is entirely English-taught, small-scale, selective and open to Dutch as well as international students. A maximum of 300 students are admitted each year based on their academic performance and motivation.

Students major in the sciences, social sciences or humanities. Substantial emphasis is placed on the sciences, offering a thorough in-depth training in disciplinary sciences such as physics, biology, informatics, earth and environmental sciences and bio-medicine, but also requiring immersion in other fields of study. All AUC students undertake a community project or an internship, and AUC offers a wide range of study abroad opportunities.
