Waleska Schumacher is the Honorary Consul of Brazil in Curacao, Sint Maarten and the BES island.
The honorary consulate reports to the Embassy of Brazil in Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago).
The main activities of the honorary consulate is to be the intermediate between the Brazilian tourist or Brazilian resident in Curacao and the Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago. The honorary consul facilitates the emission of new passports, registration of Brazilian documentation, among others, that are done by the Brazilian Ambassador in Port of Spain.
Also, the honorary consul represent Brazil in the Caribbean community and is responsible for promoting the Brazilian culture in the Dutch Caribbean islands.
Nonetheless, the honorary consul of Brazil is the first point of contact for Brazilians in Curacao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Saba and Sint Eustatius during crisis (natural disasters, pandemic, theft, etc..)
