About Leiden Bio Science Park

Leiden Bio Science Park (LBSP) is the largest and fastest-growing Life Sciences & Health cluster in the Netherlands, and ranks among the top five science parks in Europe.

The park is home to more than 500 organisations, ranging from innovative start-ups and scale-ups to leading multinationals. It also hosts world-class research institutions such as Leiden University, Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) and the Netherlands Centre for Drug Development (CHDR), as well as specialised training facilities like the Biotech Training Facility.

Every day, more than 26,000 professionals and 27,000 students work and study here, covering the entire value chain from drug discovery to production. The LBSP offers education at all levels, from vocational training to PhD programmes, ensuring a strong talent pipeline.

The cluster’s main focus areas include vaccines and infectious diseases, regenerative medicine and advanced therapies (ATMPs), early diagnostics and new technologies, prevention and lifestyle innovations, and data, AI and MedTech.

New laboratories, offices, housing, and public facilities are being developed to meet the growing demand for space and to transform the LBSP into a vibrant innovation district — a place where people can work, live and collaborate in close proximity.
