SurePay is the initiator and leading provider of Verification Of Payee and Confirmation of Payee. Founded in 2016, the Dutch fintech pioneered this solution in the Dutch market in 2017 and has since expanded across Europe and the UK with its real-time Verification of Payee (VOP), Confirmation of Payee (CoP), and Fraud Risk Indicator (FRI) solutions.

SurePay gives payers greater confidence that their payments are reaching the intended recipient, helping to prevent misdirected transfers — whether caused by fraud or human error. SurePay serves more than 250 banks and 800 corporate customers, and has processed over 11 billion payment checks to date. Its services fully align with the requirements of the upcoming EU regulation for Instant Payments and SEPA transactions, which mandates the implementation of VOP from autumn 2025.

SurePay is already directly connected to hundreds of financial institutions and businesses across Europe and the UK. Through its partnership with SWIFT’s Payment Pre-validation service, SurePay’s solution has been available globally in over 200 countries since 2024.
