TROIE is the residents association of the Medical Residents in Global Health and Tropical Medicine (MDGHTM) in training in the Netherlands. This specialisation to specialist generalist is a unique set up. Doctors are trained to work in low-resourse settings with knowledge of practising medicine as well as improving Public Health. TROIE is a working party of the NVTG, Netherlands Society of Global Health and Tropical Medicine.
