About Ulrike Quade Company

Ulrike Quade Company makes visual theatre.

Our performances consist of a unique mixture of scenography, dance, music, and literature, with puppetry and technology as the main common denominators. We found our craftmanship in 3-hand puppetry (based on the traditional Japanese Bunraku puppetry), but just as much we like to use hyperrealistic puppets (as lifelike copies of the performers) or high-tech specimens through working with industrial robots.

Our theatre experiences range from intimate lunch performances to large scale opera’s that are put on in the Netherlands, Europe and the rest of the world. Through poetry and magic we create new worldviews and perceptions of humankind.
