In current research, the Leiden University Medical Center and her (inter)national partners are collaborating for early detection and better personalized treatment for patients with cancer.

The research group led by Prof. Tollenaar and Dr. Mesker focuses on, amongst others: - Tumor-stroma ratio: as an independent prognostic factor in survival and treatment outcome - Liquid Biopsy: used for in the search for a panel of biomarkers for the early detection of cancer - Prediction Models: to better personalized treatment
